• Ventnor Exchange: At the heart of the town’s creative ecosystem is Ventnor Exchange. Operating out of Ventnor’s former post office, this dynamic community space, record shop, and craft beer bar doubles as a bustling year-round studio and performance venue. Visitors can dive into the cultural life with weekly events including open mic nights, vinyl record clubs, intimate live acoustic sessions, theatre previews, and creative workshops ranging from printmaking to songwriting.   The Ventnor Fringe Festival: Co-founded by the team behind the Exchange, this summer festival transforms the town for ten days every July. Spanning multiple venues, pop-up tents, big tops, and coastal clearings, the Ventnor Fringe brings together hundreds of artists from around the world for a week of theatre, stand-up comedy, live music, and street art.  It is establishing itself on the national scene and many well know performers use it as a valuable warm-up to the Edinburgh Fringe.

• Ventnor Arts Club: Situated in the old Nat West bank in the High Street, the Ventnor Arts Club is a cosy cultural sanctuary, hosting intimate acoustic gigs, independent film screenings, live satellite broadcasts from the National Theatre, and arts talks in a relaxed lounge setting.

The Future of Local Culture: Ingram’s Yard

The town’s artistic future is looking brighter than ever with the exciting development of Ingram’s Yard. Located just off the main high street, this ambitious project – spearheaded by Ventnor Exchange – is turning a former industrial space into a permanent, multi-purpose cultural hub for Ventnor.

Once fully operational, Ingram’s Yard will feature flexible creative studios, an open-air market space, rehearsal areas, and a dedicated performance venue. By providing affordable spaces for local makers, hosting maker markets, and acting as a year-round incubator for emerging talent, it is hoped that Ingram’s Yard will take Ventnor’s arts scene to a whole new level, enabling residents and visitors to create and collaborate in any season.
