Planning a sustainable getaway to the Isle of Wight has never been easier. At Ventnor Self Catering, we understand that for many of our guests, an Electric Vehicle (EV) is a vital part of their lifestyle. However, we also know that “range anxiety” can be a real concern when exploring the winding coastal roads and steep hills of the Island. To ensure your holiday is as relaxing as possible, we are delighted to offer a dedicated, on-site, EV charger at our Beach View Apartment.
Dedicated Parking, Dedicated Power One of the biggest challenges for EV drivers on holiday is the time spent hunting for public charging points and waiting around while the car tops up. By staying at Beach View, you bypass the queues. We have installed a high-quality 7.3kW Type 2 charger directly in the apartment’s dedicated parking space.
This speed is perfect for the “charge while you sleep” philosophy. A standard electric car can typically be fully charged from empty overnight, while most hybrids will be ready to go in under three hours. You can plug in after a day of exploring the Island and wake up to a full battery, ready for your next adventure to The Needles or Culver Down.
Competitive Pricing and Convenience Our charging system is set up on a convenient pay-as-you-go basis. We pride ourselves on keeping our rates highly competitive compared to the (relatively few) public charging stations scattered across the Isle of Wight.
Why Choose an EV-Friendly Stay in Ventnor? The Isle of Wight is a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and we are committed to helping our guests travel more sustainably. Ventnor, with its unique microclimate and stunning coastal vistas, is the perfect base for an eco-conscious holiday.
Whether you are here for a long weekend of walking or a family summer holiday, having a private EV charger means more time spent enjoying the beach and less time worrying about your next “fill up.”
Stay at Beach View Apartment and enjoy the perfect blend of 5-star comfort, stunning sea views, and the modern convenience of dedicated EV charging.
