We have installed full fibre broadband wifi at Bermuda House and Beach View Apartment, so guests now have free access throughout each property to upto 100 Mb/s wifi with very low latency.

We have now installed a pay as you go electric car charger in the Beach View Apartment dedicated parking space.  Prices are very competitive compared to the (relatively few) public chargers on the Island.  It is a 7kW charger which should be sufficient to fully charge an electric car overnight or a hybrid in under 3 hours.

We are pleased that High Street Suites 3 has once again got an excellent rating of 9.1 from the guests who book through booking.com.  Our one bedroom apartment is to 5 star standard right in the centre of Victorian Ventnor on the south coast of the Isle of Wight and has free fibre wifi and a parking space.  There’s more information about the apartment here

Good to see that High Street Suites 3 contined to be well appreciated by guests who booked through booking.com last year.  9.5 out of 10 is a very high score. Remember though that booking through an agency doesn’t always give a better deal than booking direct through this site.

It has been a busy year for maintaining the actual building of Bermuda House.  It has cost over £6000 but hopefully it will put the building in good stead for years to come.  You can’t really see much of the improvement but this back of the house is now neat and looking much better.

At present we are only letting Bermuda House on alternate weeks to ensure proper quarantining for the Coronavirus.  While it is empty this week we’ve been tackling the water penetration that happens when there’s a strong wing from the SW in heavy rain.  Was also a useful opportunity to put more bird spikes round the building!

With the break from bookings we have taken the opportunity to completely redecorate Beach View Apartment so that it is in pristine condition to welcome our first guests which we expect to be in July.

I meant to post this earlier in the year … many of my High Street Suites 3 bookings and short notice booking for Beach View Apartment come through booking.com, so it is pleasing to see exceptionally high review scores for guests through that platform.
